Some people are asking
what flights we booked. Sahar and I booked a one way ticket (because after
the 22nd we are going on our honeymoon) to STI airport from DCA: United Flight
4348 leaving DCA at 7AM on March 15th connecting at EWR and then Arriving
at STI on United flight 1624 1:45pm. Feel free to join this flight.
YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS FOR FLIGHTS:
OPTION 1: Puerto
Plata Airport (POP airport code)
~Free transfers provided by Jordan
from airport to resort and back
~Airport is 30 minutes away from Resort
~Flights are about $500-$800
~Flights are 7 hours to 25 hours long
~ If you plan on taking option 1 contact Jordan (Click
Here) to provide you transfers
OPTION 2: Santiago
Airport (STI airport code) - *Generally
cheaper and shorter flights but an hour further than POP to the Resort
~Also known as "Cibao International Airport" in Santiago
~Airport is an hour and thirty minutes away from the Resort
~Flights are $400 to $500
~Flights are 6 hours to 9 hours long
~ Transfers from STI airport vary based on time and amount of people in the
group. The maximum you will pay is $44 per person each way however I have
worked out a deal where groups of 6 can pay as low as $13 per person.
~ If you plan on taking option 2 tell Matt,
I am putting together an excel sheet with everyones arrival/departure times
so we can save on shuttle costs
~After you book your
room and flight contact Jordan
so she can refund you $23 per person (Jordan can only provide transfers from
POP airport, which was included in the package we are paying for)
